AmEx Wimbledon station takeover
Brief
Global’s client AmEx were official sponsors of this year’s Wimbledon tournament and wanted to activate a localised campaign that immerses people in the excitement of the event.
Execution
Using “The stage awaits” as a key theme, our team came up with a bespoke concept of taking over 2 of the main event train stations, Wimbledon and Southfields. Both locations were dressed with themed astroturf, seating areas and ad/poster sites. We also gave the stations a fun zone and photo opportunity backdrop to get visitors excited on arrival.
We liaised with TFL and ensured that stringent safety standards were met, ensuring the fire retardant safety of the material and its durability under extreme use circumstances.
